The 2-light version leaves more negative space inside the cage. The 3-light version creates a fuller center with another visible source of light.

That makes the choice as much visual as practical.

The Bulbs Are Supposed to Be Seen

There is no diffuser or shade covering the sockets.

The bulbs remain visible through the cage and complete the appearance of the fixture.

That is important if you are comparing this light with a frosted dome or enclosed flush mount. Those designs intentionally soften or hide the source. This one does the opposite.

The construction is open, direct, and easy to read from below.

Installation and Location Information

The fixture is hardwired for 110V service and installs directly at the ceiling.

Its frame is made from iron with a black finish.
